evolving and critical component of Software as a Service (SaaS) and Cloud Computing. We were able to get quite a bit of insight on the following questions:
• How are the dynamics of open source different in Europe versus the U.S.?
• What are the important global drivers and substantive challenges facing open source?
• How should open source software companies adapt and improve their businesses?
Given the size and importance of the European market, any open source software company will want toincorporate these aspects into their strategy. In fact, some of these findings directly relate to the approach that commercial software vendors need to take in Europe as well.
