Mobile Internet: Q3 2008 Update
Price: $12.50

It’s been three months since we issued our brief report highlighting mainstream adoption of mobile Internet technology. Since then the market hasn’t exactly been friendly but the fundamentals continue to develop.

The number of high-end devices have increased and it’s not just the Apple iPhone 3G and Blackberry Bold.  HTC is in the fray with more interesting devices and even Palm has evolved with the new Treo Pro. Wi-Fi connectivity is becoming a standard feature that is opening up more new applications for users. The iPhone
continues to lead the pack in terms of the Internet experience while drawing some criticism for spotty network performance and keyboarding challenges. Despite the market power of Nokia we still see Apple and Research in Motion as the leaders. In addition Google will benefit disproportionally as mobile usage goes mainstream.
